Olive you...in the begining

Olive you...! Olive U. All of you. I love you. I never considered blogging before. I mean, I don't have kids. All my friends' blogs are about their cute, adorable kids. I enjoy reading the witty and well articulated accounts of their children learning to maneuver life with childlike faith and understanding. I like to read about my nephew's ability to cause complete chaos in my sisters life when all she wanted was to have a simple hand print for posterity. I like to read about my college room mate's children no longer being able to "hold it" at the mall. So when a friend suggested I start a blog I thought of how boring my life is in comparison to so many others...and as quickly as my little girl can snatch a tissue off the coffee table, I realized she would be my muse. (As I contemplate my usage of the word, but quickly decide this is my blog and my non-writer, math-loving brain will place commas as willy nilly as I please and will use words in which I am uncertain of the meaning and surely drive many of you to search for your red pens. I will enjoy this.)
My "little girl" is a knee-high, black, brown, and white (possible) mix of beagle and rat terrier ("raggle"). I gave her the name "Olive" as her personality seemed to somehow remind me of the character Abigail Breslin played in "Little Miss Sunshine". She is a spitfire, smart, little dog that has taught me how short my temper can be and where my limits lie. She has also taught me patience and is a wonderful listening ear as I process through this little thing called "life". My little girl is the means by which I will let you all know about my life, what's going on and what's new.
So that's it. Olive you...! Olive U. All of you. and I love you...well, she has moments.
